About Me

I was once where you are now. I’m just a little further down the road.

Robert Longley

Hello! I’m Rob

Life Coach

Having spent several years dealing with child advocates, victim advocates, social workers, prosecutors, etc. I came to the conclusion that there has to be a better way for parents dealing with their children’s sexual abuse.

Over the years I have designed software for both the treatment of victims and offenders, as well as missing persons. I’ve challenged the heads of several state agencies, and spoke before a congressional hearing to try and change how certain programs are administered. I’d like to think these things made somewhat of a difference, but I have always been disappointed with the system as a whole. There is something missing.

So – I’ve spent the last couple of years trying to put the pieces together for a coaching program for parents who are dealing with their child’s sexual abuse. We are currently offering individual coaching, and a home coaching program is in the works. Feel free to contact us if you would like more information.

My Approach & Values

You have probably never heard of sexual abuse coaching. As far as I know, I came up with it. Basically it was me trying to fill in the blanks for what I didn’t experience over 6 years dealing with the court system. Not to say anyone did anything wrong, but the system is not setup for a continuum of care over the life of a child sexual abuse case. And very little is focused on the parents. The fact that we need to become experts in something we would rather know nothing about, and have to participate in a legal process that we have no control over, doesn’t seem to generate enough interest to fix the system.

My Experience

  • I have lived through this as a parent
  • Built case management systems for victim services
  • 15 years supporting juvenile justice programs

My Education

  • Certified Life Coach
  • NLP Practitioner
  • I am not a therapist

I Work With Individuals, Couples, Families, & Groups

Individual Coaching

While I typically do not work with victims directly, parents often become divided as a result of disclosure for various reasons.

Couples Coaching

It’s great when both parents can work together to address the needs of their child.  Being on the same page and having similar understanding will make it a better experience for everyone.

Group Coaching

We try to keep this a safe anonymous setting online.  While no one likes talking about this, knowing you aren’t alone can make a big difference.

"Most offenders are adult white males who are either family members or close assocates like coaches, teachers, or neighbors.
